- Description: Provides lead poisoning educational services for Siskiyou County residents. Raises awareness about the hazards of lead exposure and how to reduce lead exposure. The goal is to increase the number of children assessed and blood tested for lead poisoning. Services include: Home visits for families of children found to be severely poisoned. Inspects environment of home and provides nutritional assessments. Educational materials for families of lead-poisoned and lead-exposed children. Information and education to the general public, medical providers, and community-based organizations.
